Pella Community School District Facilities Department Receives AmSan Platinum Certification?Raising the Bar to Higher Performance
PELLA, IA — The Pella Community School District, Pella, Iowa, received Platinum Status under AmSan’s SMART ASSESSMENT Program, earning top scores based on a benchmarking audit of custodial allocation, workloading, sustainable operations, environmentally-preferable supplies/equipment, and sound inventory and fiscal management.
AmSan used a building-specific matrix to assess and monitor key factors addressing all Pella School building types, emphasizing green cleaning and sustainable strategies, while recognizing Pella’s 30% productivity gains accompanied by cleaner healthier buildings and increased operational efficiency across the board.
Pella’s Custodial Services group — under the leadership of Maintenance Director Chris Wimmer and Supervisor of Custodial Services Ryan Doschadis — is seeking to continue to advance its clean-for-health mission by exploring the assessment and implementation of Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PC4HS).
According to nonprofit PC4HS Founder, Rex Morrison: “Ryan, with the support of his director Chris Wimmer, is in the top 5 percent of the marketplace in terms of grasp of what is needed and how to achieve the next level of clean and healthy within a working budget in a district of less than 100 schools.”
“Our application of PC4HS will help us further live up to our mission to provide an orderly, sanitary, and friendly environment through emphasis on accountability and teamwork, ensuring a clean and well-maintained facility,” noted Doschadis.
