SPOKANE, WA — Plus Manufacturing Inc. maker of soap-free, hypoallergenic, nontoxic PROCYON products has announced Washington Elementary School, Mount Vernon Schools, Mount Vernon, Washington, as the winner of the PROCYON Healthy Carpet Care Award.

Washington Elementary will receive a $500 award in recognition of the school’s multi-year commitment to healthier soap-free carpet cleaning, having used PROCYON successfully in a program combining low moisture interim and hot water extraction (HWE) systems.

"The PROCYON Healthy Carpet Care Award is our way of acknowledging users of PROCYON who have made a strong commitment to a better way of cleaning with healthier outcomes," said Ivan Day, president of Plus Manufacturing Inc. maker of PROCYON, the first product to be certified under the revised Green Seal GS-37 environmental cleaning product standard.

According to Ken Bergsma, facilities and operations manager for Mount Vernon Schools: "We are pleased to receive this recognition, and thank our head custodian Jorge Aguirre at Washington Elementary, Franz Johnson, Bay City Supply, Bellingham, Washington, for expert assistance, and Ivan Day of Plus Manufacturing."

PROCYON is fragrance-free, soap-free and residue-free, leaving carpets and the indoor air cleaner than many other methods, while being kind to the environment.
