LAS VEGAS — Before the Wednesday morning keynote address by Tony Hsieh, ISSA Executive Director John Garfinkel announced that ISSA/INTERCLEAN 2013 had the highest level of attendance since 2005.
Also, 692 exhibitors are participating in the show, and that is an all time high for ISSA/INTERCLEAN, according to Garfinkel.
After the announcements, Hsieh’s presentation walked the audience through his business successes and failures.
Hsieh started with his first entrepreneurial experience during college, and repeatedly stressed the importance of exceptional customer service and developing community.
Working with Zappos.com, Hsieh grew the company’s sales into the billions, and the business was recently acquired by Amazon.com.
Today, in addition to Zappos, Hsieh is investing and working in his community to help redevelop a section of downtown Las Vegas.
