Wednesday’s Answer:

Generally speaking, hardwood flooring that is not factory finished is sanded after installation and finished with coats of polyurethane to leave a high gloss surface that resists spills and wear.

A quick look at the Internet under "wood flooring" will give you a multitude of articles and videos from which you can learn the details of wood floor care.

A poly finished floor should not have a wax or topical finish applied.
