We have a mobile home with a lot of cigarette smoke.

What is the best way to remove the nicotine from the walls?

Tuesday’s Answer:

Some testing is on order to determine what will work best in your situation.

Start by trying a solution of warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent.

Use a sponge or cloth to clean the walls.

Start at the bottom to avoid runs on uncleaned areas and wipe with the grain until the film is gone.

Buff dry with a clean cloth to remove all loosened material.

If that doesn't work try a commerical degreaser type chemical.

Home Depot sells one called "Greased Lightning" that usually works quite well.
