FSSI: The October 21, 2013 meeting of the President’s Management Advisory Board (PMAB) will provide a unique opportunity to make your voices heard in Washington.
All small business federal contractors should consider submitting Comments on how FSSI has or will affect you.
The fast-tracking of FSSI across all federal government agency procurement was driven by the endorsement of the PMAB. This group of well-known Corporate Executives was established to provide independent advice and recommendations to President Obama and
the President’s Management Council on a wide range of issues related to the development of effective strategies for the implementation of best business practices to improve Federal Government management and operation.
The PMAB was the driving force to suggest implementation of FSSI for federal government spending. Although the PMAB made this recommendation, which OMB and GSA quickly committed themselves to implement, they made this decision without obtaining input from the small business federal contracting community who would be most impacted by the FSSI.
The October 21, 2013 teleconferenced meeting is scheduled from 11am to 12:30pm and is open to the Public who can listen to the PMAB discussion using 1-888-673-9806 and pass code 7836092.
Members of the public will not have the opportunity to ask questions or otherwise participate in the teleconference. However, members of the public are encouraged to submit Comments by 12:30 p.m. EST on Friday, October 18, 2013, by either Email or Paper Statements. Emails should be addressed to Mr. Brockelman, Designated Federal Officer at email@example.com.
