Tuesday’s Question:ICANATEX Logo

Prior to burnishing the floor with a propane burnisher, do I need to apply a restorer?

Can it be done without applying any chemicals?

Tuesday’s Answer:

A mop-on or spray-on restorer adds a bit of new finish to the floor to repair damage and add to the shine.

However, it should only be placed onto a clean floor so that grime is not sealed in and burnished along with the finish.

There is no problem with burnishing without adding any chemicals, but the choice to do so would depend on the floor's condition.

No matter what, your objective must be to burnish only  ... Lynn E. Krafft, ICAN/ATEX editor
