SHARONVILLE, OH — Kutol Products Company has been chosen by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted to be featured as an April Ohio Business Profile for its contribution to the state’s economy and the country’s emerging bio-products industry.

‘We are honored to be highlighted as an Ohio Business Profile for biobased manufacturing by Ohio’s Secretary of State, “ notes Joe Rhodenbaugh, president of Kutol Products Company. “Our USDA BioPreferred™ line of hand hygiene products provides our customers with another dimension of environmentally preferred options in addition to our Green Seal™ certified products for use in their restrooms, kitchens, showers and other hand hygiene stations.”

In announcing the biobased companies selected for the April Ohio Business Profile, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted noted, “Companies manufacturing biobased products in Ohio are having great success combining agricultural expertise with emerging technologies to create new and better products. Ohio agribusiness is improving our environment and our economy, which means jobs and a better quality of life for everyone.”

In regards to job creation, over the last several years Kutol Products Company expanded its Ohio workforce to meet the increasing demand for its hand soaps, hand sanitizers and dispensing systems.  One hundred percent of Kutol products are manufactured in Ohio at the company’s FDA-registered, LEED® Silver Certified facility in Sharonville, following the most stringent government guidelines.

Kutol Products Company joins over 45 Ohio-based companies that are manufacturing more than 1,200 USDA BioPreferred biobased products. Just three other companies were chosen along with Kutol Products Company to be highlighted as an Ohio Business Profile for biobased products. Products that earn the BioPreferred designation are made in whole, or in significant part, with biological products, renewable agricultural materials, or forestry materials.  Hand cleaners must contain a minimum of 64% biobased content and hand sanitizers need to contain a minimum of 73% biobased material.

Kutol’s BioPreferred products exceed the minimum biobased content requirements, including Foaming Alcohol Hand Sanitizer (98% biobased content), Santi-Gel Instant Hand Sanitizer (96%), Foaming Luxury Hand Soap (81%) and Foaming Antibacterial Hand Soap (71%).
