The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) Supports Sustainability Dashboard

BOISE, ID — The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) has announced its support of Sustainability Dashboard Tools LLC - http://www.green2sustainable.com/ - an organization focused on developing tools to help buildings of all sizes meet the challenges of sustainability tracking to achieve a cost-effective culture of sustainability.

“What is measured, gets controlled and saved,” said Allen Rathey, President and Founder of the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI).  “Measuring and tracking waste, recycling, transportation, supplies, energy and water information using the Sustainability Dashboard will help large and small facilities be healthier, and save money, while protecting the environment.”

“We are grateful for the support of educational centers such as the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) and look forward to continuing to spread the word about the benefits of sustainability,” said Stephen Ashkin, Chief Executive Officer, Sustainability Dashboard Tools, LLC - http://www.green2sustainable.com/.  “While every individual and organization wants to do the ‘right thing’, for us to be successful we must create a culture of sustainability by applying the 3E’s (engaging, educating and empowering our people), instituting sound management practices, setting improvement goals, tracking progress, and ultimately changing what we do on a daily basis.  Business as usual is no longer sustainable in our rapidly changing and competitive global economy.”

“While there are numerous high-priced expert consultants and complex software tools designed to help Fortune 100 Companies, the Sustainability Dashboard was designed to help the ‘Fortune 1,000,000’ - organizations of all sizes and types - reduce their spend on energy, water, waste, transportation, cleaning, office and other purchased supplies.  And we must make it easy for busy people to succeed, especially those who wear multiple hats without specific expertise on sustainability, and with limited budgets.  Because in the end, we need all people and entities: public and private, large and small, to contribute to a more sustainable, healthier and prosperous future.”

About Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI)

The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) strives to provide authoritative information for creating and maintaining clean, healthy indoor environments. Since buildings are ecosystems, HFI works to address the many interrelated aspects of built environments — such as air, water, energy, materials and resources, green cleaning, indoor environmental quality, waste management, people and more — as an integrated or holistic system. Inasmuch as “Clean” is a metaphor for healthy indoor spaces, HFI also emphasizes prevention and removal of pollutants or contaminants to help ensure optimum conditions for living, learning and working.
