Advanced Vapor Technologies Releases Guide to EPA-Regulated Disinfecting Devices

EVERETT, WA — Advanced Vapor Technologies has released its “Guide to EPA-Regulated Disinfecting Devices” available for download at:,2-12,%20Guid_EPA%20Pest_dev-MV,LD-4.pdf.

“Our purpose in releasing this one-page guide is to help clear up the confusion about the difference between EPA Registration of chemical disinfectants or pesticides and EPA Regulated disinfecting devices bearing an EPA Establishment Number on the label,” said Rick Hoverson, principal of Advanced Vapor Technologies. “Our intent is to show that non-chemical devices that kill germs effectively without the use of toxic chemistries are regulated by EPA, and, especially, that credible makers of these devices have solid scientific data to support germ-kill claims.”

Cleaning professionals confused about the difference between EPA-regulated pesticide devices and EPA-registered pesticide products, are encouraged to download the information sheet -,2-12,%20Guid_EPA%20Pest_dev-MV,LD-4.pdf - and review the validating data for the TANCS® Steam Vapor  disinfection device bearing EPA Establishment # 82121-WA-01 and U.S. Patent No. 7,547,413.  Click here for the “Guide to EPA-Regulated Disinfecting Devices” -,2-12,%20Guid_EPA%20Pest_dev-MV,LD-4.pdf  and visit for research validating the TANCS® Steam Vapor disinfection device.
