Thursday’s Question:ICANATEX Logo

I am new in the cleaning business and in the process of pricing a contract.

How much should I charge to clean a 4,000-square-foot bar/night, five nights per week?

How many hours will the job take each night?

Thursday’s Answer:

keeping timeIt all depends on how rowdy a crew is in there on any given night and what your job actually is.

If you are just sweeping up with a 24-inch push broom, you can do it in about an hour.

Mopping will run about an hour and a half.

Restrooms may be messy and time-consuming, again depending on the patrons and their bar-hopping habits.

Are you doing door glass and brass handrails? It all adds time, so be sure to find out all the details  … Lynn E. Krafft, ICAN/ATEX editor
