Monday’s Question:ICANATEX Logo

I have been asked to provide a bid for a dance studio's dance floors.

There are four rooms that total 4,585 square feet.

The studio has its own autoscrubber and wants service every two weeks.

This is my first opportunity to bid and I want to provide a fair price.

Any help is appreciated.

Monday’s Answer:

dance floorI understand, but it would be helpful to know the flooring material, what it is finished with and the size of the autoscrubber.

Then, we could offer some idea of the times involved and therefore, the price you need to charge to cover your time and make a fair profit.

For example, a 20-inch autoscrubber can cover about 9,300 square feet per hour, so you need about 30 minutes to do this job with that machine.

This does not include the dry mopping to remove dust and litter, nor the setup and cleanup time for  … Lynn E. Krafft, ICAN/ATEX editor
