CHUDY PAPER COMPANY MARKS CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY IN 2013
Year-Long Celebration to Thank Customers and Community for 100 Years of Support

BUFFALO, NY — Chudy Paper (www.chudypaper.com), the area’s leading provider of Industrial Packaging, Food Service and Facilities Maintenance solutions, will be celebrating 100 years in business throughout 2013.  

“It’s hard to imagine that what started out as a one-man operation serving businesses along Broadway and Lombard in the early 1900s would turn into the organization we are today,” says Frank Michalski, CEO of Chudy Paper. “It truly is a shining example of the American Dream coming to life.”

Chudy Paper began when Max Chudy, a first-generation immigrant from Poland, recognized an opportunity to supply paper products and packaging twine to the bustling meat markets of the early twentieth century. From there, the company quickly grew – adapting and expanding into the burgeoning supermarket industry, where at one point they became one of the top paper bag suppliers in the entire country.

As the business was passed down over the years from one generation to the next, a constant that has remained at the company’s core is Chudy’s willingness to exceed customer expectations and their longstanding commitment to innovation.

“Today we serve a wide range of customers in the Restaurant, Healthcare, Education and Building Management segments,” Says Michalski. “And we have expanded our footprint to cover much of Western New York, including facilities in Rochester and the Finger Lakes region.”  

The third generation of the Chudy family now operates the business that recently moved into a 120,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Cheektowaga. Here, at their new state-of-the-art facility, Chudy will be hosting several customer appreciation events throughout the year to celebrate their 100 years in business.

“Chudy Paper is a special place. We are a family business serving a community of families,” says Michalski. “We understand that we couldn’t have made it to where we are today without our customers, and we want to take this milestone and recognize them for contributing to our success over the last century.”
