BOYNTON BEACH, FL — Commissioners will meet this week to discuss plans to build a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified police station, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The proposed site of the new headquarters is High Ridge Road and Gateway Boulevard, the story stated.
The 81,000-square-foot project has a budget of $28 million, the story noted.
Obtaining LEED certification for the building could cost the city an additional $185,000 in specialized materials and expenses, the story added.
