LOUDONVILLE, OH — The American Legion Post 257 donated $20,000 toward the construction of public restrooms in downtown Loudonville, according to the Ashland Times-Gazette.
Money for the donation was raised through the sale of tip boards during fundraising events held at the Legion Post, the story stated.
People considering donations to the restroom project are urged to make them soon, the story noted.
Loudonville Fair manager Virginia Reynolds said: "We would like to get construction under way around the first of March. We have a number of contractors lined up to contribute labor and equipment toward the building, if we can do it early in the construction season. If the project is done later, it will be more difficult for these contractors to make themselves available."
The donation will be broken into two allotments of $10,000 each, the story added.
