The January issue of CM/Cleaning & Maintenance Management® magazine is now available online, featuring Danielle Downs Trott''s article Beat the green hype.
Trott explains that greenwashing comes in many forms: Baseless claims, muddy language, irrelevant facts, imbalanced comparisons, hidden trade-offs and flat-out lies.
Trott notes that if a product is made from plants or other organic sources, consumers need to understand why that product is a best choice and how it reduces environmental impact.
Trott adds that as a responsible cleaning professional, it is important to disclose exactly what chemicals you are using and the chemicals you are not using.
The traditional, printed version of the magazine has been mailed to more than 37,000 subscribers.
