LOS ANGELES — A janitor who is a two-year employee of Aramark Corporation has been arrested for petty and grand theft, according to the Daily Trojan.
The Feb. 27 story said Lance Johnson, 25, was arrested on Feb. 25 for allegedly stealing from lockers at the Lyon Center, where he served as a custodian. Police said 17 petty or grand thefts have been committed at the Lyons Center as of Jan. 5.
The story said that Johnson confessed to LAPD after he was arrested.
Aramark Corporation is a company that sets up custodial services for the University Park campus building, which includes the Lyon Center.
Department of Public Safety Captain David Carlisle said in the story, “We looked at the times that the thefts occurred and compared it with work schedules and seemed to find that there was a pattern. Thefts occurred when certain people were working, and this person had been a person of interest in the investigation.”
