ELBA, AL — A leaky roof at the Elba courthouse in Alabama''s Coffee County has commissioners and custodians alike on their toes, according to WTVY-TV.
Tyrone Kelley, a janitor at the courthouse, has become a regular viewer of the local news station''s weather forecast so he knows when it will rain and when he has to put out buckets to catch the water leaking through the 106-year-old courthouse''s roof, the story stated.
The current roof was installed in 1998, and officials question if it is still under warranty or if the county will have to foot the repair bill, the story noted.
The incessant leaking has damaged ceiling tiles and walls and several employees have complained of mold-induced allergies, the story added.
