MANHATTAN, NY — The housekeeper of Bardwil Industries Inc. chief executive officer (CEO) George Bardwil is in stable condition at New York Presbyterian Hospital after being admitted Wednesday with a skull fracture allegedly inflicted by Bardwil, according to the Daily News.
Reina Nunez was allegedly struck in the back of her head with an ashtray after being accused by Bardwil of stealing from him, the story stated.
Bardwil, who was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, first told authorities he stepped out of the shower Sunday afternoon and found Nunez sprawled on the floor before later telling detectives he was afraid Nunez was pilfering from his estate, the story noted.
Nunez'' family members say she has worked several different jobs over the years and "would never stoop so low" as to steal from an employer, the story added.
