TAMPA, FL — Window washing can be a dangerous business, but for one man it is an exhilarating way to earn a living, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Dave Aronow, better known as Dave the Window Washer, works for Bay Area Window Cleaning and has broken several bones in his 21 years of washing windows on high rise buildings, the story stated.
Aronow said: "I am not afraid of heights. But I have butterflies in my stomach when I am about to drop off the edge of a roof. I think those butterflies are what keep me alive. They make me careful. So why do I do this? I do this because it''s fun. Every day is different. I like adventure."
When he is not dangling high above city streets, Aronow enjoys other extreme activities like skiing, dog sledding and scuba diving, the story noted.
Aronow thrives on the live-life-to-the-fullest experiences of being a window washer and the stories they generate, the story added.
