Board of Education honors five dedicated custodians

BAINBRIDGE, GA — Five custodians who work in various schools throughout Decatur County were recently honored by the Decatur County Board of Education, according to the Post-Searchlight.
The custodians were presented with certificates for their hardwork and dedication in keeping Decatur County Schools clean and healthy for students and staff, the story stated.
Among those who received their honorary certificates in person were: Mattie Wells of Bainbridge High School; Willie Martin of West Bainbridge Elementary School; and Carlos Williams of Bainbridge High School, the story noted.
According to the story, County Janitorial Director Jeff Wood presented Wells her award; Wood and West Bambridge Principal Allyson Matthews congratulated Martin; and Williams was honored by Wood.
Two additional custodians who were honored but were not present at the ceremony include: Joe Vickers of John Johnson Elementary School; and Patrick Parris of Elcan-King Elementary School, the story added.
