PRINCETON, NJ — Consumer and JanSan product manufacturer Church & Dwight Company Inc., parent company of OxiClean and Arm & Hammer, noted a 27 percent increase in second-quarter profits, according to the Associated Press.
Quarterly earnings increased from $45.8 million in the year-ago quarter to the current $58.2 million, the story stated.
Sales for the quarter climbed 5 percent from $594 million to $623.1 million, the story noted.
According to a Thomson Reuters poll, analysts forecast a net income of 79 cents per share on revenue of $611.5 million.
Domestic sales for the quarter rose 14 percent to $468.1 million while international sales fell 16 percent to $94.8 million, the story added.
