MALVERN, PA — Recent headlines have brought the idea of combustible dust explosions to the national spotlight, and a website has been created by Nilfisk-Advance Inc. to address common concerns, according to a press release.
Through videos, fact sheets, application photos and links to sites like the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) National Emphasis Program (NEP) on Combustible Dust, gives manufacturers access to pertinent information regarding combustible dust and fire/explosion prevention, the release stated.
Paul Miller, vice president and general manager of Nilfisk-CFM North America, said: "Even though the industrial sector is now very aware of the risks of combustible dust, they still have a lot of questions. Many manufacturers still aren’t sure if the material in their plants is considered "explosive" or if their equipment meets OSHA recommendations. strives to answer some of those questions as they relate to maintenance procedures and explosion-proof vacuums, providing a one-stop site for manufacturers looking to learn more about combustible dust."
Nilfisk CFM, a division of Nilfisk-Advance, provides industrial vacuums for heavy-duty applications that require maximum suction power and specialty vacuums for clean applications that demand "absolute" air purity and facility cleanliness, the release noted.
