NACHES, WA — A fundraising dinner has been scheduled to benefit the custodian at Naches Valley High School, according to the Yakima Herald-Republic.
The spaghetti dinner, which will be held in the school cafeteria before the first home football game of the year on Friday, September 4, 2009, will last from 4-8 p.m., the story stated.
According to the story, Steve Mullinnex, a member of the National Kidney Foundation who is facing a kidney transplant, needs community support because his transplant is incredibly costly.
Mullinnex''s daughter-in-law, Ramie, will be donating one of her kidneys, the story noted.
Donations of $7 for adults and high school students, and $5 for senior citizens and children are requested for attending the dinner, the story added.
To help with the dinner or to donate, call 1-509-653-2342 and ask for Mary; all proceeds will be donated to the Mullinnex Kidney Fund in care of American West Bank in Naches.
