Overnight cleaning crew allegedly robbed Kmart

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two people in an overnight cleaning crew were arrested for allegedly robbing a Kmart department store where they were working, according to the Chicago Tribune.
According to the story, Kmart loss prevention noted that several thousand dollars in merchandise was unaccounted for, prompting management to set up surveillance cameras throughout the 1199 East Ogden Avenue store.
Carmen Valenzuela-Santillan and Miguel Quiros were charged with felony theft Monday after investigators using store surveillance cameras reportedly saw one of them stuffing items from the store into bags, the story stated.
The Naperville Police Department performed a search in each of the worker''s homes, turning up stolen Kmart merchandise valued around $10,000, the story noted.
Both Valenzuela-Santillan and Quiros remain in the DuPage County Jail on $50,000 bond, the story added.
