OSWEGO, IL — Earlier this week, a four-year contract was approved for Oswego Community Unit School District 308 custodians, according to the Beacon News.
The contract with the Oswego Custodial Maintenance Association (OCMA) includes salary increases of roughly 2 percent each year until it expires in June 2013, the story stated.
OCMA President Mel Schmudde said: "We believe we have worked diligently with the school district to develop a fair and equitable agreement."
The OCMA, which has a membership of 138 employees including 44 in the maintenance and 94 in the custodial departments, is satisfied with the cooperation of the district that led to competitive wages and benefits, the story noted.
