Van Nuys, CA – 911 Restoration, Inc., the nation’s leading restoration company celebrated its Grand Opening Event November 12, 2009. Members of the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce and representatives from the senator and supervisors offices were all present. Chairman of the San Fernando Chamber of Commerce Michael Fiore commemorated the event with 911 Restoration CEO Shay Kalmanovich and owners Idan Shipzear and Peleg Lindenberg by cutting the ceremonial red ribbon.
“We are so glad to see companies that are thriving in this economy,” Gemma Jimenez from Senator Alex Padilla’s office said. “It was great to come out and celebrate.”
The grand opening was held in conjunction with the company’s 2nd Annual Franchise Convention, where attendees learned how to grow their one-unit organizations into multi-unit operations. Industry experts and motivational speakers presented on a variety of topics including: Risk Management, Clarity for Purpose, Motivational Marketing, Equipment, Establishing Health & Safety, Textile Restoration, Laboratory Analysis, and more.
“This is truly a great night. We are honored that so many people came out to support us,” CEO of 911 Restoration, Shay Kalmanovich said. “We will continue to grow and expand in 2010.”
Created in 2001 by two friends, Idan Shpizear and Peleg Lindenberg, who worked together at a carpet cleaning business, 911 Restoration is a true “Coming to America” success story. Idan moved to the States from Israel and met Peleg. With only $3500 combined and a Volvo as an office, he and Peleg opened their first 911 Restoration on their own. They couldn’t qualify for a loan, they worked through the language and custom barriers, and built the company on sweat equity, hard work, and integrity.
As of 2009, the company has grown into a multi-million dollar business, with over 20 offices across the USA and Canada in cities like San Francisco, Miami, Portland, Toronto, and more and is expected to open 30 more by the close of 2010.
Shay Kalmanovich has written and published numerous articles ranging in topic from the dangerous effects of mold, fire preparedness, and what to do in the event of a flood or hurricane. He was recently interviewed by CNN reporter, Brad Pomerance, and the company was featured on Fox 11 News.
