Joe Miller, who has remained on paid administrative leave since October, will be transferred to the grounds and maintenance department and will work at all district campuses, the story stated.
Miller, who had worked at Wilcox High School for 20 years, was scheduled to go before the school board Wednesday night for a termination hearing before reaching the agreement on Tuesday, the story noted.
Miller said: "I''m looking forward to my new job within the school district and practicing and producing the art of vintage through my Rockabilly Model agency outside the district."
Some students said they were prepared to march from Wilcox High School to the school board meeting and present board members with a video montage of current and former students sharing stories about Miller and how he influenced them, the story added.
Tabitha Kappeler-Hurley, a Santa Clara Unified School District spokesperson, said: "Justice and due process take time but have resulted in a ''win/win situation'' for both employer and employee. It allows Mr. Miller to return to full employment status with the Santa Clara Unified School District while putting into place disciplinary actions and clear guidelines that the Santa Clara Unified School District believes respects and upholds the rights of students and parents."
