ATLANTA — The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is holding its 65th Annual Convention & Exhibition March 23-27, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, according to a press release.
The 2010 RIA Convention & Exhibition will focus on the theme of health and safety, addressing a wide variety of health and safety topics as they specifically affect the restoration industry, the release stated.
According to the release, Dr. Barbara Manis, chief medical officer at Building Health Services Inc., will tackle the topic of health awareness and safety with dramatic, real-life case studies that everyone can learn from; and Dan Coughlin of The Coughlin Company, the other keynote speaker, will address how to successfully lead a team for maximum impact and raise the bar for your employees and customers through an entertaining and insightful address.
Over a four-day period, the RIA offers more than 90 hours of education, exhibitions and networking opportunities, the perfect reason to bring multiple staff members so they can participate in everything the Convention has to offer, the release noted.
Some of the numerous topics to be covered at the Convention include: U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) differences; legal developments in health and safety; unknown hazards and appropriate protection; and cleaning for healthy environments, the release added.
