ROGERS, MN — Recent lab tests found that the ionator EXP™ and ionator HOM™ from Activeion Cleaning Solutions kill the 2009 Pandemic H1N1 influenza A — also known as the swine flu — virus in six seconds with no chemicals, according to a press release.
According to the release, the ionator EXP and ionator HOM are handheld cleaning and sanitizing devices that ionize water to remove dirt and kill bacteria when used as directed.
Activeion Cleaning Solutions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jim Wiese said: "With just a faucet and the ionator EXP, people now have an abundant supply of effective cleaner that also assists in the protection of public health and eliminates the ongoing expense of purchasing cleaning chemicals. This is great news for budgets, cleaning staff and the environment."
The tests were performed by an independent, third-party lab certified to conduct microbiology testing to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standard, the release stated.
The ionator EXP, designed for commercial use, is currently available and a consumer version, the ionator HOM, will be officially available in the spring of 2010 and is now available in limited quantities, the release added.
