According to the release, Tarson Paper & Janitorial Supply accepted the offer due to Hill & Markes'' history as a family business and its reputation for excellent service and leadership in the community.
Tarson said: "We are confident that Hill & Markes will provide our paper and janitorial customers with excellent service."
Hill & Markes has made many acquisistions over the past 25 years, offering product lines including janitorial supplies, industrial packaging, food service and office products, the release stated.
Staff from Tarson Paper & Janitorial Supply will be retained in the transition, and Tarson customers will have the opportunity to learn more about Hill & Markes at their trade show on March 5 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in
Verona, New York, the release stated. "This venue will be a perfect opportunity, at an ideal time, for staff at Hill & Markes to meet the new customers formerly of Tarson Paper & Janitorial as well as giving these new customers an opportunity to see the breadth of line the company can offer them. We will have over 60 manufacturers represented at the show for people to talk to. An informative seminar on sustainability or how to think about green presented by nationally recognized eco-humorist Bob Hirschfeld will be one of the highlights of the event.
