BOISE, ID — Seven ProTeam vacuum products have been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval/Green Label from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), according to a press release.
According to the release, the designation is reserved for products that have undergone rigorous testing at an independent laboratory to meet performance criteria for amount of soil removed, containment of dust and dirt within the machine and carpet fiber protection.
The Super CoachVac®, Super CoachVac® HEPA, Super QuarterVac®, Super QuarterVac® HEPA, MegaVac®, RunningVac® and ProVac® CN from ProTeam all earned the Gold designation, the release stated.
ProTeam President Matt Wood said: "We are proud of the performance of our vacuums and pleased the carpet industry is distinguishing effective vacuums from those that do not perform well. Our focus is on satisfying our customers, and the Gold Seal of Approval is proof that our product delivers."
The CRI uses sophisticated x-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology, developed by private industry and enhanced by NASA for the Space Shuttle program, to measure the precise amount of soil removed from a carpet sample as part of the vacuum testing for Seal of Approval/Green Label designation, the release added.
