Nichols to host fifith annual Green Facilities Conference

MUSKEGON, MINichols Paper & Supply will host the fifth annual Green Facilities Conference on Tuesday, March 23 at Calvin College''s Prince Conference Center, according to a press release.
According to the release, the conference will feature keynote speaker Alan Bigger, retired facilities director from Earlham College and Notre Dame University and author of the book Frugalisms: Creative Ideas on Leadership in Facilities and Housekeeping Operations.
The conference will focus on educating professionals on the maintenance of healthy buildings and environmental protection, and will include more than 25 workshops, including new workshops this year focusing on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB), Lean/5S for facilities management, environmental sustainability for health care facilities and lowering the cost of green through incentives and grants, the release stated.
Past conferences have been at near full-capacity, so advanced registration for the conference — which costs $80 per person and includes a continental breakfast and lunch — is recommended by calling Nichols at 800-442-0213, ext. 111 or visiting the conference website, the release added.
