BLOOMINGTON, INThe Ashkin Group and the American Institute of Cleaning Sciences (AICS) recently entered into a new collaborative agreement, according to a press release.
Stephen Ashkin, president of The Ashkin Group and chief executive officer (CEO) of Sustainable Dashboard Tools LLC, and David Frank and Jim Peduto of the AICS believe this collaborative agreement will benefit the industry, the release stated.
Ashkin said: "We have agreed to work together on several projects and be supportive of each others'' activities. I am impressed with the Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) program, and we''re working to have it included in the new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) certification criteria now being developed. I am also promoting it to [the] state governments we are working with. Dave Frank and Jim Peduto are two of the industry''s leading consultants. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with them on shared mutual interests that benefit our industry."
Frank and Peduto say they will help promote Ashkin''s Green Cleaning University and several other green-related programs that The Ashkin Group is currently undertaking, the release noted.
Frank said: "Steve Ashkin and The Ashkin Group have made a monumental contribution to improving the professionalism of our industry by pioneering the green cleaning movement. We applaud their efforts and look forward to working with them on a collaborative basis."
