Wednesday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: If we are in a heat wave, and have not applied floor finish in three days due to humidity and heat, what is a good humidity level for a 25 percent floor finish on a resilient surface?
The answer:
Floor finish is best applied at humidity levels below 60 percent and temperatures above 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Check with the manufacturer for more specific temperature and humidity requirements.
You can control the indoor environment with dehumidification, air movement and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. — Tom Morrison, sales manager for Kaivac Inc.
