ProTeam's parent company receives two green certifications

ST. LOUISEmerson, the company that acquired ProTeam Inc. in September 2009, recently earned two high-profile industry recognitions for environmental responsibility, according to a press release.
Emerson''s state-of-the-art global data center received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification at the Gold level from the U.S. Green Building Council and a 2009 Beyond Green High-Performance Building Award from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council, the release stated.
According to the release, Emerson earned 40 out of a possible 51 points to receive LEED-Gold certification.
The Beyond Green High-Performance Building Award recognizes initiatives that shape, inform and catalyze the high-performance building market and the real-world application of their design and construction, the release noted.
Matt Wood, ProTeam president and chief executive officer (CEO), said: "This Earth Day is a significant occasion for ProTeam. For years, we''ve been putting our efforts behind technology and real-world applications that benefit the environment and the health of those who live in it. Now, we have a parent company with the same drive for innovation when it comes to environmental responsibility."
