AKRON, OH — The world''s first hand sanitizer to be certified by third-party eco-labeling program EcoLogo™ was recently introduced by GOJO Industries, according to a press release.
GOJO''s new PURELL® Green Certified Instant Hand Sanitizer is available in the U.S. only and is made with 100 percent naturally renewable ethanol in a readily biodegradable formula, stated the release.
The certification acknowledges that the PURELL® Green Certified Instant Hand Sanitizer product meets EcoLogo''s Instant Hand Antiseptic Products standard (CCD-170) for environmental leadership.
According to the release, the hand sanitizer, which is available in gel and foam form, also meets the USDA BioPreferred program for biobased content.
