VMA hires business development specialist

NORTH CANTON, OH — Violand Management Associates (VMA), a business-management teaching, training and consulting company, recently appointed Tom Cline as business development specialist, according to a press release.
Most recently, Cline was regional program coordinator for MAGNET, a non-profit organization, where he provided consulting services to manufacturers with less than 100 employees, the release stated.
Chuck Violand, owner of Violand Management Associates, said: "As VMA has grown, we have been extremely fortunate to attract talented consultants with the wealth of experience Tom brings to the table. Tom''s broad range of understanding in both advising and working within companies ranging in size from $2 million to $2.6 billion gives him unique insight into the workings of our client companies."
Cline is an adjunct professor for Stark State College teaching courses in management, marketing and supervision, the release noted.
Cline has previously enjoyed a 25-year career with the Timken Company and five years as vice president of sales and marketing for Millwood Inc., the release added.
