xpedx hosting seminar on cost reduction in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh division of xpedx is offering area business and facility owners, managers and employees a no-cost seminar to give them new, up-to-date information on reducing cleaning costs, cleaning best practices and environmentally responsible cleaning, according to a press release.

The free event, "How to Reduce Cleaning Costs and Meet Environmental Goals," will take place Tuesday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Andrew''s Steak & Seafood in The Rivers Casino, the release stated.

According to the release, following the free lunch included with the event, a mini trade show will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m where latest advances in cleaning products, technologies and practices will be discussed and demonstrated.

Dave Frank, president of the American Institute for Cleaning Sciences (AICS), will lead the seminar and discuss topics such as: Cleaning system design, cost management, meeting sustainability goals on a budget and communicating about cleaning costs and effectiveness with your boss or board, the release noted.

Representatives from some of the industry''s best-known cleaning supplies and equipment companies will attend, including: Diversey Inc., Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Kimberly-Clark Professional, Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC, Tennant Company, Heritage Bag Company, SCA Tissue North America, GOJO Industries Inc., The Andersen Company, Claire Manufacturing Company, ProTeam Inc. and others, the release added.
