Tuesday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: One of my business clients has a vinyl floor with what I call dimples in it (little small pits as a pattern). It gets dirt in these little pits and looks really bad. We mop it every night and once a week scrub it. Scrubbing gets some of the dirt out, but not all. I have even tried to use a scrub brush on it. How can we resolve this?
The answer:
Without personally observing the floor condition, my best advice would be to use a stiff bristle brush on a rotary floor machine and heavy-duty degreaser. Apply the degreaser solution and allow 10 minutes contact time. Run the floor machine over the area...
