HOUSTON – In an effort to save money, Texas A&M University is currently considering whether or not to eliminate the availability of free toilet in dorm bathrooms across the campus, according to an article from the Houston Chronicle.
The university''s Department of Student Affairs is holding discussions and debating the issue, but, according to the article, it seems likely that larger dorm bathrooms won''t lose free toilet paper privileges.
According to the article, the estimated savings would be approximately $82,000.
Michael Spiegelhauer, a 20-year-old biological and agricultural engineering major, explained that the change is "definitely going to be a major complaint for students. It''s going to become a problem."
