KINNELON, NJ — The school district is moving ahead with plans to advertise for an outside firm to provide custodial services, according to The Record.
At the school board''s most recent meeting on July 22, the trustees authorized administrator Alice Robinson to advertise for the outsourcing of custodial services through competitive contracting, the article stated.
According to the bid specifications, the existing custodial staff will be eligible for rehire by whatever outside custodial company is brought in, the article noted.
Robinson said the bid specifications require the custodial service company to be utilized by at least five school districts.
The specifications also require the company to have been in business for at least 10 years, the article added.
