HAMILTON, OH — Kaivac Inc., developers of the No-Touch Cleaning™ System, announces that it has entered the company''s Kaivac 1250 into this year''s ISSA Innovations Awards Program, according to a press release.
According to Tom Morrison, vice president of marketing for Kaivac, one reason the "1250" was entered into the contest was because of tests performed at a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-certified laboratory, the release stated.
The tests indicate that the machine can reduce more than 99.9 percent of targeted microbes using just plain water, the release noted.
"This qualifies it as a sanitizing device according to EPA criteria," said Morrison.
"This does not mean [the 1250] must be used without chemicals. It just means it can be used without chemicals and still achieve EPA standards for sanitation and hygienic cleaning," Morrison added.
