ISSA certifies CIMS experts
JanSan trade association ISSA has certified 43 more industry professionals as experts in its Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS), which codifies universally accepted principles of well-managed and customer-centered cleaning organizations.

The 43 newly certified CIMS experts are: Jack Adelman and Edward Rosenblatt of SouthEast Link; Robert Allen of Amano Pioneer Eclipse; and Ted Bilicki, Aileen Cleary, Bill Fosselman, and Bill Simpson of Unger Enterprises.

Also, Mike Blangor of Kellermeyer Building Services; Chris Cap, Kent Dornfield, and Peggy Wood of Allston Supply Co.; John Carroll of TPC Enterprises; and Richard Casse of BCB Janitorial.

Waxie promotes two to VP
San Diego-based JanSan distributor Waxie Sanitary Supply has promoted two managers to vice president.
John Bielenberg, a five-year Waxie veteran, is vice president/general manager of the San Francisco division, and Craig McDaniel, a 22-year Waxie veteran, is vice president/general manager of the Salt Lake City division.

Spartan names regional manager
JanSan manufacturer Spartan Chemical Co. Inc. of Maumee, OH, has hired Matthew Franz as regional manager of the Phoenix, AZ, region.

Franz is a graduate of California State University at Sacramento with a degree in business administration.

Unger hires ServiceMaster vet
Bridgeport, CT-based JanSan manufacturer Unger Enterprises Inc. has hired Ted Bilicki as end user specialist.
Bilicki will provide account support to end users and building service contractors.

Pro-Link adds BSC specialist
Pro-Link, a JanSan marketing and buying group based in Canton, MA, has hired Rich Parillo for the new position of building service contractor specialist.

The position was created to help Pro-Link''s distributor members meet the needs of their BSC customers.
Parillo has worked as director of environmental services for a hospital and janitorial director for a property management company.

ISSA hires lobbyist
JanSan trade association ISSA has retained DC Legislative & Regulatory Services (DCLRS) to represent the collective interests of ISSA members before Congress and federal agencies.

DCLRS specializes in environmental, antimicrobial pesticide registration, immigration, and small business and corporate issues, the release stated.

DCLRS is presently working on behalf of ISSA to persuade the federal Environmental Protection Agency''s Office of Pesticide Programs to allow disinfectant manufacturers to display third-party (e.g., Green Seal) endorsements of environmentally preferable products.

Nilfisk-Advance buys HydraMaster
JanSan manufacturer Nilfisk-Advance has acquired HydraMaster, which makes truckmounts, rotary floor care systems, and cleaning accessories and chemicals.

Doug Hauff, general manager of U.S. Products, which Nilfisk-Advance acquired last year, will be the executive in charge of HydraMaster.

HydraMaster''s Chairman Mike Palmer and CEO Steve Brandt will stay on as advisers.

Radal Technology opens U.S. office
Radal Technology Ltd., a British manufacturer of cigarette smoke detection systems, has opened a sales and distribution office in Hamilton, OH.

The Radal USA office, at 1000 Laurel Ave., will be managed by Gerry Sauber, and Mike Tracy and Tom Tracy will be responsible for sales and marketing.
