ISSA releases green policy guide
The ISSA, Lincolnwood, IL, released a comprehensive overview of “Green Cleaning Product Procurement Policies, Initiatives, and Requirements in the United States” in response to the increased demand and interest in green cleaning products and services.
The guide covers more than 20 state and local jurisdictions that have established green purchasing policies, as well as six federal programs and initiatives designed to promote green cleaning products and practices.
DfE tests online cleaning resource
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Design for the Environment Program (DfE) and the GreenBlue Institute (GreenBlue) released an online beta version of CleanGredients (www.cleangredients.org) for evaluation.
NJ, NYC enact green cleaning program
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed into law the NYC Greening Our Cleaning Act, requiring the city to conduct a green cleaning pilot program.

Visitor traffic on the CM B2B Trade Group™ websites jumped 26 percent in 2005, hitting more than 3 million user visits and almost matching the 31 percent increase the prior year.
All together, visitor traffic on the three websites — www.cmmonline.com, www.cleanfax.com, and www.cmdistribution.com — jumped 65 percent in the two-year period from January 2004 to December 2005.

Green cleaning advocate organization The Ashkin Group, Bloomington, IN, has been awarded a contract to help the Mexican government implement green cleaning standards and products.
