D&A Building Services Hires Branch Manager

Jennifer Wetter was recently hired as a branch manager at the Longwood, Florida, headquarters of D&A Building Services Inc.

Working on accounts in the Maitland and Lake Mary areas of Central Florida, Wetter is responsible for management, operations, business development and customer retention.

Kimberly-Clark Promotes Marketer

The Kimberly-Clark Corporation recently promoted marketer Kim Underhill to the position of vice president of its United Kingdom and Ireland division.

Underhill previously headed up Kimberly-Clark''s North American tissue division after gaining experience within Kimberly-Clark''s infant care and personal care departments.

Underhill has held positions in marketing, research and operations within the company.

Solutions Hires New Controller

DCL Solutions Inc. recently announced that Terri Laws, a graduate of St. Joseph''s University with 25 years of accounting and financial experience, has joined the company as controller.

A Certified Public Account (CPA), Laws will be responsible for all accounting and financial controls for the company.

Gulf Coast Paper Company Recognizes Credential

Gulf Coast Paper Company announces that Michael Ray, from the company''s Austin branch, has achieved certification as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

According to the Green Building Certification Institute Professional directory, Ray is the first LEED Green Associate from the JanSan distribution sector.

JohnsonDiversey Donates $1 Million

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has accepted a four-year, $1 million grant from JohnsonDiversey Inc. to support establishing global standards for water stewardship with the goal of addressing the global threat of water stress, the increasing pollution of rivers and a decline in freshwater wildlife species.

In addition to funding the WWF''s work over four years, JohnsonDiversey''s water management experts will also provide technical and operational input to establishing the new standards.

JohnsonDiversey is a member of WWF''s Climate Savers Program and supports WWF''s Freshwater Science Program.

ProTeam Acquired by Emerson

ProTeam Inc. recently announced that it has been acquired by Emerson Electric Company, effective Wednesday, September 2, 2009.

This acquisition brings a leading manufacturer of wet/dry utility vacuums and a leading provider of commercial vacuums together.

ProTeam will become part of the globally operating Emerson Professional Tools platform.

Ecolab Wins ‘Best Places To Work'' Award

For the fourth consecutive year, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal recognized Ecolab Inc. as one of the "Best Places to Work" in the Twin Cities.

After its associates completed an employee survey conducted by Quantum Market Research and the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal earlier this spring, Ecolab was named one of the top-scoring businesses.

Ludlow Composites Wins Exporting Award

Ludlow Composites Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of high-performance matting systems sold under the brand name Crown Mats and Matting, is the winner of Ohio''s 2009 Governor''s Small-Medium Business Excellence in Exporting Award.

Ludlow Composites, founded in 1943, has been recognized by the state for their exporting activities by receiving honorable mention in 1996, 2000 and again in 2005.

The award was presented to Bob Moran, Ludlow''s chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland.

Mark Reimers Retires From ProTeam

ProTeam Inc. recently announced the retirement of Mark Reimers, one of the company''s original leaders and a key member of the executive management team.

Reimers has been the senior vice president of commercial sales since the company''s inception in 1987.

Reimers, whose retirement officially began on September 1, 2009, will continue to be associated with ProTeam as a mentor and advisor.

ProTeam credits Reimers'' "calm demeanor, indomitable spirit and infallible logic" in helping ProTeam overcome the many obstacles the company faced in its early years.
