DPA Hires Marketing Manager

The JanSan buying and marketing group Distributor Partners of America (DPA) recently hired Brittany L. Henry as marketing manager.

Henry will help promote DPA''s preferred partner suppliers and increase sales for the group''s member distributors.

Diamond Chemical Hires Chief Financial Officer

Adam Meyers recently joined Diamond Chemical Company Inc. in the position of chief financial officer (CFO).

Upon current CFO Bill Lovatt''s retirement, Meyers, who has his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in financial management from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, will assume the role of CFO and will be in charge of all finance-related activities.

Enviro-Solutions Hires Sales Manager

Enviro-Solutions Ltd. recently announced that Greg Sharpe will be joining the company as a regional sales manager, effective January 1, 2010.

Sharpe, a 30-year veteran of the JanSan industry with an extensive background in industrial chemicals, will work in a territory that includes the states of Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.

Starco Chemical Hires District Manager

Starco Chemical recently announced the addition of Joel James to the company as district manager.

In his new position, James, who holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in business management from the University of Georgia, is responsible for expanding Starco sales through distribution partners in the Southeast region of the United States.

Americo Manufacturing Appoints International Account Executive

Americo Manufacturing Company Inc. recently announced the appointment of Veronica Caracciolo as international account executive.

Conversant in three languages — English, Spanish and Italian — Caracciolo comes to Americo with a strong background in international marketing.

The Ashkin Group Tapped For Expertise

The Ashkin Group LLC and the Green Cleaning Network LLC have been selected to work with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as it prepares its Version 3

revision of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) program.

EPA Launches Green Disinfectant And Sanitizer Pilot Programs

In December, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officially launched two voluntary pilot programs for disinfectants and sanitizers that will allow the use of the Design for the Environment (DfE) logo on certain products as well as allow the use of certain EPA-approved factual statements of environmental preferability.

Registrants will be subject to a two-tier review process starting with review by the DfE program that will start accepting applications immediately, while the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) will start accepting applications on May 3, 2010.

PAK-IT Forges Overseas Business Relationship

PAK-IT LLC recently signed an agreement with Creative Supply Solutions Ltd. (CSS) to be a master distributor for its PAK-IT™ family of products in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

In a recent ceremony at the University of Illinois, PortionPac Chemical Corporation received the Governor''s Continuous Improvement Sustainability Award for significant achievements in protecting the environment.

Previously, PortionPac received the award for innovations in product design and process, including their shared savings programs with thousands of schools, health care facilities and corporations.
