WESTERVILLE, OH — The International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) is pleased to announce IEHA member Stas Khaitin, a Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH), as the 2010 recipient of the IEHA Spartan-sponsored Scholarship Award, according to a press release.
Khaitin was born and raised in the former Soviet Union and came to the United States in 1995, the release noted.
In his application letter, Khaitin said, "Due to an economic downturn in the United States and after being laid off as a director of housekeeping and laundry services with an assisted living facility back in February of 2010, I have decided to invest in my education in order to increase my knowledge and marketability for finding new employment."
A $1,500 scholarship, sponsored by Spartan Chemical, is awarded to the best-qualified candidate as determined by IEHA''s Scholarship Selection Committee, and the award is granted each year in the fall, the release stated.
