LAS VEGAS — With a successful event in the recent past keeping expectations high for future events, Connections has chosen new officers to lead the group in 2011.
Gary Glenn from the SCRT will replace Craig Kersemeier as president, beginning January 1, 2011. Andrew Conklin will take the helm as vice president.
"I believe that Connections events have hit its stride," Glenn said. "Our current board has really set precedence for working with Meeting and Events (the Connections management company)."
Remaining on the board are Dan Taylor from the MSPCA as treasurer and Rosemary Schooley from the FIO as secretary.
Connections also has a new, non-voting position: Kersemeier will serve as "past president".
"I cannot say enough good about the last four years under Craig''s leadership," Glenn said. "He set the bar high and pushed the board and Meeting and Events to get us where we are today. Personally, I look forward to being able to have him on board as past president for 2011."
New board members include Dan Morse from the NEIRC; Norma McCormick from the CFI; Gary Loiben from the TRSCA; Darcie Lawson from the CCINW; and John Garger from the LMCCA.
New committee chairs are Andrew Conklin for Events, Norma McCormick for Marketing, Dan Taylor for Finance, Rosemary Schooley for RFP (request for proposal) on management company bids and John Garger for Policy & Procedures update.
