PANAMA CITY, FL — A new janitorial company will be taking over custodial service at all Bay District Schools, according to WJHG-TV.
Thirteen companies submitted bids for the job but seven of them did not meet requirements or qualifications that were stated in the board''s bid proposal, the article stated.
The contract was put out to bid after school board members fired the previous company Rite-Way services, the article noted.
According to the article, Rite-Way hired five illegal immigrants who were working as janitors in Bay District Schools.
Southern Management, who put in the lowest bid, currently provides cleaning services for the Santa Rosa County School District, the article added.
